Suntec International Convention And Exhibition Centre, A Place For Successful Events

The Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre was established on the 30th of August 1995, the present name was given to the then Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre in October of 2001. The Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre covers an area of over one million square feet or 93, 000 square meters. The centre is situated in the downtown area of Singapore. The centre has one of the largest column less halls in all of Asia. The hall covers an area of 12, 000 square meters. Then there is the exhibition hall, this hall covers an area of 12,000 square meters, the area can be sectioned off to give three small halls. The Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre was created in lie of the development activities that was taking place at the time at Marina Centre and also as a part of the Suntec City project.

There are numerous events that take place at the Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre, some of the events that have taken place have included the World Trade Organization Ministerial Conference of 1996, World Cyber Games, World Down Syndrome Congress, IAAPA Asian Expo, World Stamp Championship, COMEX IT Fair, International Food Festival, VoiceComm, Singapore Motorshow, NATAS Travel Fair, Modern Living, IT Show, CAREER and the Asian Casinos Expo. Certain segments of the Youth 2010 Olympic Games will also take part at the Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
